Here is a commentary Lebanon's Daily Star published this morning regarding succession in Egypt.
Enjoy and criticisms are most welcome.

Read the piece with interest. It's quite good, it makes it really clear what happens and when. I did not understand what was going on in the "A reversal of power..." paragraph but I just skipped it and the rest was great.
I am somewhat surprised that you can speak so freely about what is going on -- and that you refer to Gamal by his first name in a newspaper. But I guess it's always difficult for an outsider with no experience to gauge what one may and may not do in a situation such as yours.
It strikes me that Gamal's policies are evoked, but you never talk about the old guard's policies. Is this because they don't have any? If so, it is hardly surprising that they should be easily upset by someone who actually proposes to do something, whatever it is.
Leaving Monday to Costa Rica, our 'replacement' trip. Hope you're doing well with fathering your daughter and your thesis as the same time... as I'm sure you are. Take care.
